The Child Dental Benefits Schedule
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) has replaced the Medicare Teen Dental Scheme.
From the first of January 2014, the Child Dental Benefits Schedule is the new financial assistance for children between the age of two and seventeen. It provides up to $1000 to the child for basic dental services. The $1000 can be used over two calendar years but cannot be used after that two year period.
To check your child’s eligibility for Child Dental Benefit Scheme, please call Medicare and McCrae Dental.
Services that are covered by the CDBS include:
- Examinations
- X-rays
- Cleaning
- Fissure sealing
- Fillings
- Root canal therapy
- Extractions
- Partial dentures
